The 2025 WAKF State Titles at the Stadium were a resounding success, and I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event so seamless and memorable.
Our team of volunteers and coaches worked tirelessly, ensuring every aspect of the event ran smoothly. I would also like to express my deep appreciation to Hanshi and his team of instructors and students, whose efforts helped make this day truly remarkable.
A special mention goes to our dedicated team of coaches, who expertly managed the tatamis and ensured that all athletes were well-supported throughout the day. Sensei Andrew, Shihan Basil, Shihan Brigit, Shihan Glen, Josh Sense and Mark Sensei it was fantastic having you all on the floor, ensuring everything stayed on track.
To Steve, Jorge, Sensei Craig, Mari, Ako, Tanya, Gimara, and Darlene, you are the backbone of our floor team, and your unwavering support is always appreciated.
Sensei Frank, Sensei Dan and Sensei Au, our refereeing team, were stretched but performed admirably. Thank you for your dedication and professionalism.
I would also like to acknowledge our competitors, including Matt, Jes, and Xsenija, who all went above and beyond in their performances.
A heartfelt thank you to our team manager, Bianca, who not only ensures the athletes are organised but also expertly manages the sometimes challenging task of calming nervous parents. The day was hectic, but your ability to stay composed and effective was remarkable!
